About Western Michigan Comprehensive Treatment Center

Conveniently located in Grandville, Michigan, Western Michigan Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) provides medication-assisted treatment for individuals age 18 and older who are struggling with opioid addictions. Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is a type of outpatient treatment that incorporates the use of prescription medication and counseling to help people as they start on their recovery journeys. There are some methadone clinics that are only equipped to provide patients with one type of medication, but at Western Michigan CTC, we are able to give prescriptions for methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone, and Suboxone. All these medications are FDA-approved, and the specific prescription a person receives is based on their needs and the state of their health. Individual and group therapy complements the use of medication by providing patients with an opportunity to meet both one-on-one with a counselor and in a group setting with their peers. During this time, they can learn about the behavioral and psychological aspects of addiction, which may help them as they develop the coping skills necessary for maintaining lasting sobriety.
