About Kent Comprehensive Treatment Center

Located in Kent, Washington, Kent Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) is an outpatient opioid use disorder treatment program for adults age 18 and older. Patients at Kent CTC receive medication-assisted treatment (MAT), which combines the use of prescription medication with talk therapy. Decades of research has demonstrated the effectiveness of MAT, and agencies like the National Institute on Drug Abuse and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration highly recommend it for the treatment of opioid addiction. There are various medications used in MAT, and the types offered will vary from one methadone clinic to the next. At Kent CTC, we are able to provide prescriptions for methadone, Suboxone, and buprenorphine, depending on a patient’s needs. These medications alleviate the distressing symptoms of withdrawal, which can help prevent a person from relapsing. In addition to taking the medication, patients at our treatment center can participate in individual and group therapy. These counseling sessions give patients an opportunity to discuss their experiences, learn more about the disease of addiction, identify triggers, and practice coping skills. It can also be a time for them to share support with others who may be facing similar challenges.
