About CaredFor

Addiction is a lonely disease. For those who have struggled with addiction or know someone who has, you understand that isolation is a barrier to recovery. Of course, even after treatment, having a plan to break the cycle of isolation is critical in preventing relapse. As you learn about CaredFor, you will discover a community that dedicates itself to inspiring and supporting lasting wellness.

We created CaredFor as a way to provide instant access to peers, friends, and family. Additionally, by creating a community and helping to form lasting relationships we are helping addiction treatment centers improve outcomes, reach people in need of treatment, and build brand awareness.
Understanding the Need
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) reported that 23.5 million persons aged 12 or older needed treatment for an illicit drug or alcohol abuse problem in 2009. Of that group, only 2.6 million received treatment at a specialty facility. Also, for those who seek professional treatment, the risk of relapse is still high.

CaredFor offers an online platform for Addiction Treatment Centers to connect, engage, and influence their alumni. We are not a compliance tool; our aim is not to track behavior. Instead, we are seeking to build a private social network for the provider’s alumni to be supported as they continue their recovery.
