About Red River Hospital

Red River Hospital is an inpatient and outpatient behavioral healthcare provider based in the great plains of Wichita Falls, Texas. We provide compassionate care for adolescents, adults, seniors, and military personnel whose lives have been affected by mental health disorders and substance use disorders. Our hospital offers detoxification, inpatient, and outpatient programs for individuals who are seeking care for addiction and behavioral health concerns. At Red River Hospital, we incorporate proven treatment modalities into the care we provide. Our treatment services for adolescents ages 12-17 are focused on helping young people develop coping skills. These services, which include daily group therapies, didactic educational groups, and family therapy, are coupled with our positive reinforcement behavioral system, which gives adolescent patients structure and rewards. Adults age 18 and older can benefit from on-site therapy, coping skills training, and monitored medication management, while older adults can engage in a variety of experiential activities, including art therapy, community reintegration, and role-playing. Red River Hospital also offers a Military Resiliency Unit (MRU) for active military personnel that incorporates military activities and customs, such as maintaining orderly living quarters, raising and lowering the flag, and following a strict workout regimen. Our team of compassionate professionals provides care to treat a variety of disorders and concerns.
