About Duncansville Comprehensive Treatment Center

Duncansville Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) is an outpatient opioid addiction treatment program for adults age 18 and older. Located in Duncansville, Pennsylvania, we utilize medication-assisted treatment (MAT), which combines the use of prescription medication with counseling. Decades of research demonstrates the effectiveness of MAT, and agencies like the National Institute on Drug Abuse highly recommend its use in the treatment of opioid addiction. The medications used in MAT alleviate the highly uncomfortable symptoms of withdrawal, which can increase the likelihood that a person will refrain from using again. We can prescribe methadone, buprenorphine, and Suboxone, while many other methadone clinics are only equipped to provide one type of medication. Each patient receives a thorough assessment prior to starting treatment, and the results of that assessment help our team determine which medication is best for them. Individual and group therapies are also available at our CTC. These counseling sessions complement the use of medication by giving patients time to talk about their experiences, share support with others who may be facing similar challenges, and learn coping skills that can help prevent future relapse.
