About Taunton Comprehensive Treatment Center

Taunton Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in Taunton, Massachusetts, is an outpatient opioid use disorder program that offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults who are struggling with addictions to morphine, heroin, and other opioids. MAT combines therapy with the use of prescription medications, and many years of research has demonstrated its effectiveness in helping people end their opioid use. Some methadone clinics only offer prescriptions for one medication, but at Taunton CTC, we can prescribe three different medications, including buprenorphine, methadone, and Suboxone. A thorough assessment is given at the time of a patient’s admission to our program, and the results of that assessment help determine which medication is most appropriate for them. To complement the use of medication, patients at our treatment center can also participate in individual and group therapy. These counseling sessions can be extremely beneficial in helping patients process their experiences while also receiving the support and encouragement they need to be successful in their recovery.
